Strategic Acquisition Strengthens Novoferm’s Position in the
Novoferm, one of the bigger European sys-tem providers of doors, gates, frames, and drives, takes over the Dutch company Alpha Deuren International BV, one of the renowned sectional-door-producers in Europe – subject to the approval of the Antitrust Authorities. This acquisition strength-ens Novoferm’s international position, particularly in the area of industrial doors.
“Through this acquisition, we are expanding our product portfo-lio and sustainably reinforcing our profile in the international market. Alpha Deuren is a perfect fit for Novoferm, both opera-tionally as well as strategically. Both companies share the same corporate philosophy based on innovative power, uncompromising quality, and reliability. Additionally, this strategic move offers numerous synergistic benefits, especially in the field of industrial doors,” commented Rainer Schackmann, CEO of the Novoferm Group. “The Novoferm Group already produces industrial doors for the European market in two factories in the Netherlands at this point in time. Alpha Deuren’s product portfolio ideally complements Novoferm’s range of products,” Schackmann added.
Alpha Deuren International B.V., based in Didam, has about 150 employees. The company achieved this outstanding market position within only 19 years. The manufacturing is highly au-tomated, very efficient, and ideally adjusted to the customers’ needs. Alpha Deuren is particularly strong in countries like Germany, France and in the Netherlands, and distributes solely via specialist distributors. Aside from ISO- and aluminum sec-tional doors for industrial buildings, the company’s product range also includes garage doors for residential construction.
The successful development of the company in the last 19 years will continue to grow under the affiliation with Novoferm. Erik Scheepers, founder and CEO of Alpha Deuren, also recognizes an important step for Alpha Deuren’s development in the coming together of the two companies: “I am very happy about the merger with Novoferm as a strong partner. With Novoferm I know that our company is in good hands. I am positive that we will be even more successful in future this way.” An agree-ment concerning the acquisition has been signed on 30th April. The approval of the Anti-trust Authorities is still pending.
