Bad Homburg, Germany (PROTEXT) - Jobs & Adverts AG (securitiescode 514 170), Bad Homburg, plans to launch an IPO on the NeuerMarkt segment of the Frankfurt stock exchange in April 2000, asannounced by the company today at a press conference inFrankfurt. J.P. Morgan and Bank Vontobel are set to shepherd thiscompany to the stock market as bookrunners and joint leadmanagers, respectively. With its jobpilot portals (more than 78,000 jobs offered inover 47,000 job ads), Jobs & Adverts runs one of the biggestEuropean job markets on the Internet. Long-term generalagreements are in place with Nokia, Deutsche Bank, SAP andSiemens, among other companies. A holding of United Internet Jobs & Adverts AG, Bad Homburg, was established in 1995 andtoday is one of the leading European providers of services andproducts associated with jobs and careers on the Internet. Apartfrom vacancies and wanted ads, additional innovative services canbe downloaded from the jobpilot domain. In Germany the company already managed to achieve apositive result to the tune of 820,000 euros. The future holds the promise of high growth rates continuing.For instance, in terms of a study conducted by Computer IndustryAlliance & Savantek Inc., the number of Web users in Europe isexpected to rise from 60.8 million in 1999 to roughly 219 millionin the year 2005. According to Computer Economics, the number ofjobs wanted on the Internet will increase from 5 million in 1999(e) to 16 million in the year 2002 (e). Jobs & Adverts intends to invest the proceeds of the IPO aboveall in marketing. In addition, the funds will be deployed with aview to extending the company's infrastructure and technology andfor specific acquisitions.
